Do these mindfulness exercises to increase your awareness of self and the environment thereby unleashing the power of mindfulness.About the power of mindfulness: “The most fundamental aggression to ourselves, the most fundamental harm we can do to ourselves, is to remain ignorant by not having the courage and the respect to look at ourselves honestly and gently.” ~ Pema Chödrön

It’s a hot summer day in the garden. Diana is miserable. All she can think about is getting done with work and getting in the house. On the other hand her sister, Daniela, although uncomfortable in the heat, is delighted to have spotted a swallowtail butterfly on the gloriously scented roses, as a delicious bit of breeze tickles across her arms. Why Inviting More Awe into Your Life Elevates Your Satisfaction Level

Pondering wonders of nature like leaves changing color is an act of inviting more awe into your life, which consequently makes us happier and healthier.I love this quote by Albert Einstein on inviting more awe into your life,“There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle. The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science.”

A breathtaking sunset, a dramatic lightning storm, the birth of a baby human or animal…all of these things inspire a feeling deep within us that fills us with wonder and reverence. This sense of awe connects us with something greater than ourselves. It stops us in our tracks and makes us feel small in a good way, as we experience something beyond the norm of our everyday life. It’s a moment that lifts us above ourselves and lets us experience something spiritually. That’s why inviting more awe into your life is so important.
