Peer Training for Private Practices
Peer Training through Clinical Supervision & Mentoring
The most visible creators are those artists whose medium is life itself. The ones who express the inexpressible ~ without brush, hammer, clay, or guitar. They neither paint nor sculpt. Their medium is simply being. Whatever their presence touches has increased life. They see, but don’t have to draw… Because they are the artists of being alive.

Shaping Your Personal & Professional Identity
- Seeking supervision for your private practice internship?
- Looking for additional or clinically focused supervision because your agency is unable to provide for this adequately at your workplace?
- Licensed but dealing with new populations or difficult cases and you’d like consultative supervision with an experienced peer?
- Are you ready to set up your Ideal Practice?
In providing peer training, I emphasize the following:
Your Personal Identity – Even more than any tool or technique we use with clients, the most effective way to support change lies in how we show up: our own ability to convey warmth, compassion and to create a safe container where the client feels free to explore and come alive! My life experience has shown me that our ability to excel in this is directly proportional to the amount time and energy we have invested in our own personal work, and the set of principles that guides it.
Clear and Healthy Boundaries – I believe that clear professional boundaries are an absolute necessity for a positive supervision experience. I will invite you to provide feedback as we progress to make sure that any blind spots or sources of discomfort in our relationship are properly addressed.
Theoretical Orientation – Theory grounds us, provides a road map in our case conceptualizations and helps us out of the woods when we are lost! While it is true that most therapists are eclectic in their clinical approach, I believe that an in-depth study of several formal theories of counseling is essential to the growth of a good clinician. I will share with you my clinical orientation and biases and invite you to explore and experiment with any theories that interest you.
Experience
I have been providing peer training via clinical supervision, mentoring and consultation since 2005 to MFT and LPC registered interns. I believe that focused, energetic and consistent supervision and training is absolutely vital to the development of strong clinicians.
I specialize in supporting new and seasoned clinicians developing their Ideal Private Practice.
Fees
My standard fee for supervision and mentoring services is $125. I offer sliding scale rates for students and interns because I know that community-based agencies are often unable to offer competitive salaries. Even if you are in a private practice setting, caseloads are unpredictable, so please ask about my sliding scale rates and I’m confident that we will be able to work out a fee that is reasonable for both of us.

Over the years I have developed several classes you might want to take advantage of that will further your professional identity…
