How to Build Rapport with Clients So They Feel Safe & Trust You

Easily build rapport with clients (or anyone), without manipulation, by caring about them, SEEING them and using NLP’s mirroring, pacing and leading.“I feel so comfortable with her. She really gets me.” “I just met her, but it feels like we’re old friends already.” Have you ever felt this way about someone? Maybe it was with a coach, therapist or mentor? They instantly put you at ease and you’re sharing things you never thought you would with a relative stranger. How do they do it? This skill is called building rapport. You can learn to build rapport with clients (or anyone else!) by mastering the NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) techniques mentioned below. They’re easy, but they do take practice.

How to Connect with Like-minded People — Simple Ways for Big Gains

Embrace the magic of networking with like-minded people, since you have something in common (passions, values, interests) it’s an automatic connection! “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with”. ~ Jim Rohn

Do you experience a heart-pounding moment when you think about meeting new people? The very word — networking — creates great anxiety among many of my readers. Especially if you’re an introvert, the thought of attending a networking event, or even reaching out to one person online, can stress you out. If that’s true for you…I invite you to stop… take a deep breath… and embrace the magic of connecting with “like-minded people.”

Who are like-minded people? They’re the ones who have similar opinions and interests to your own. Do you understand how powerful that is? Since you already have something in common (passions, values, hobbies, jobs, interests, etc), you can use that to start a conversation. You get to talk about something you’re excited about with someone who is also excited about it. Automatic connection!

Got a Plan for Personal Growth? Set Intentional Goals for an Optimum Life

You are the captain of your life and a plan for personal growth will get you to your desired destination“One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen, again and again, fear must be overcome again and again.” ~ Abraham Maslow

Before any captain sails from port, she has multiple, detailed, and documented plans that include checking each operating system. The Navigator creates a passage plan, (a comprehensive, step-by-step description of how the voyage will proceed from departure to destination) and advises course corrections, as needed, throughout the trip. Every crew member has prepared a mental game plan for any contingency they might meet. If one trip involves this much planning, how much planning do we invest in our lives? Do you have a plan for personal growth, so you can live your optimum life?

20 Amazing & Lasting Benefits of Applying Embodied Self-awareness & Leadership Principles

Embodiment coach, Maria Connolly, teaches embodied self-awareness and leadership principles.“Presence — or its lack — has enormous consequences for leaders. Presence grants genuine leadership authority by building trust and inspiring others. This is quite a bit different from the leadership that is conferred by position, title or status.” ~ Richard Strozzi-Heckler

It’s a driving force within us to want our lives to have meaning…that we make a difference, leave a legacy and be remembered for contributing something worthwhile. This desire requires that we step up to our leadership potential, which can be quite daunting. Because before we can lead others, we must first lead ourselves. That’s where the practice of embodiment is so beneficial. You learn to first lead yourself through embodied self-awareness. The way you speak, the words you choose, your body posture, all reflect the harmony you feel by being fully present.

5 Key Values of a Modern Day Renaissance Woman. Is This YOU?

A modern day Renaissance Woman has many interests and skills.“I want to be a Renaissance Woman. I want to paint, and I want to write, and I want to act, and I just want to do everything.” ~ Emma Watson

Oprah Winfrey, Lady Gaga, Mae Jemison — to name just a few — can all claim the distinction of being a modern day Renaissance Woman. To understand this reference, we have to go back in history to Italy during the 14th century.

Since I grew up in Italy, I greatly enjoyed studying the Renaissance period. The name “Renaissance” comes from the French word meaning “rebirth.” It was a rebirth from the Middle Ages. It gave birth to discovery and exploration, innovation, and a resurgence of classical learning and spiritual enlightenment.
